Special thanks to the Green Cleaning Coach for sending me this awesome cleaning kit so I can start cleaning greener! I was hoping a maid came with the kit, but its so easy to clean with this kit, I don’t even need a maid. (Well, I wouldn’t turn one away!)
I was already a Skoy Cloth believer and was happy to get another one! I am still amazed over the Blue Cloth! This takes place of your windex products and paper towels. You only need water to clean windows, stainless steel, even granite counter tops! LOVE IT!
The ECO Sponge uses a little elbow elbow grease instead of chemicals. Its great for scuff marks on the wall, and great for soap scum on the shower walls.
Just Be….products are fabulous. I love the hand cream sample- it smells and feels wonderful. The Laundry satchel smells of lavender and makes the clothes smell better than Downy! It’s true!
I highly recommend the Green Cleaning Kit! I have needed to switch our family over to Green products for a long time. Now that I have my starter kit, things are looking green all over!
The Joy of Green Cleaning is quickly becoming my favorite new recipe/experiment book! My son and I mixed up a few easy and green cleaning solutions and let me tell you- not only do they work wonders, but it makes my son want to clean! He loves mixing up his own “experiments” to clean anything he can find. I know, it sounds crazy, but this is the first time he has wanted to help me clean since the novelty of mopping wore off. There are a few recipes that combine ketchup and other ingredients. Those were fun but didn’t taste very good, LOL.
Here are the recipes we tried:
Foaming Sink Cleanser:
½ cup baking soda
1 tablespoon cream of tartar
¼ cup vinegar Mix baking soda and cream of tartar together. Sprinkle
them into the sink, lightly covering the bottom. Put
vinegar in a spray bottle and spray the entire sink. The
mixture will start to foam. Scrub the foam with a
scrubby sponge. Rinse completely to remove any
leftover film from the baking soda.
Daily Anti-Bacterial Cleaner Spray
1 cup white vinegar
1 cup club soda
¼ cup hydrogen peroxide
8 drops Tea Tree oil for disinfectant
Mix liquid and put into spray
bottle. Add oil for
disinfecting properties. Use a
dark bottle and store in a
dark area. You can add
more hydrogen peroxide
before using this spray. The
peroxide will break down in
