Pam: You’ve only been a consultant for 8 months and have seen incredible success in your business. How did you get started and how have you built your business?
Sarah: I first saw Lilla Rose on a blog. I thought the clips looked like something fun and entered a giveaway. I ended up winning that giveaway. When I got my first Flexi, I was amazed. It was gorgeous, well crafted, and extremely comfortable. I kept telling my husband how much I loved my Flexi and he joked, “Well then, why don’t you sell them?” That joke actually prompted me to look into the business opportunity. I decided that I really wanted to be able to share Flexis with my friends and family. I never intended sell on a larger scale, but as my love for Lilla Rose has grown, so has my desire to share these amazing products with others. I have been incredibly amazed by the success of my business in such a short time. These beautiful products truly sell themselves. I’ve mostly focused my business on-line by working with bloggers and creating a fan base. I have also had many successful in-person parties and events—a few over $1000 in sales (think 45% of that!).

Some people have great success in one of the above areas and some do a little of everything! I have done pretty much every one of those types of events in the past 8 months, so if you’re curious how they work, I’m happy to answer questions (my e-mail is at the bottom of this post). Because I have such tiny kids and don’t want to spend a lot of time away from home the majority of my business is on-line, but, honestly, the potential in the other areas is HUGE.
Pam: Are start-up cost reasonable?
Sarah: Yes! You can get started for as little as $49.95. That includes 5 clips (in 5 different sizes) and some marketing materials. It also includes a free website that you can start selling from immediately! For folks who are more serious about doing craft fairs, home parties, etc. there is also the Fast Start kit, which puts $600 in your pocket as soon as you sell the products!

Pam: Which enrollment option is best for me?
Sarah: You need to decide if you can swing an initial investment with Fast Start. As I said, Fast Start gives you a very fast way to earn back your investment and put some money in your pocket, plus make you eligible for some very special bonuses in the near future. If you just want to start small, or don’t have the money to invest up front, the regular $49.95 kit is a perfect way to go! It will just mean that it’ll take a little longer to get bonuses and you’ll have to build your stock over time. Pam: How much would I make in commission?
Sarah: Consultants automatically earn 30% commission/discount each month and can earn up to 45% as they sell (you go up in percentages at certain amounts of sales).
Pam: Do I get to choose which Flexis come in my starter kit?
Sarah: You don’t get to choose which Flexis you get with any of the kits, but they always send the top sellers. They won’t send you stuff that you won’t be able sell. Honestly, I was worried a little when I signed up! I started with fast start and got 60 clips and 15 other items. I’ll be honest that there were a few Flexis that weren’t my style, but they sold pretty much immediately. I’m constantly reminded that we all have very different taste.
Pam: Do you have to work certain hours? Will it interfere with my family time?
Sarah: With Lilla Rose, you can do as much as or as little as you want. It is your own business, so you can choose your hours. I do the vast majority of my work at night after my kids have gone to bed. I also love that with Lilla Rose you never lose your consultant status, so if you need to take a month off for some reason you can go right back to it the next month. As long as you sell or buy $29 worth of product in one year you will remain a consultant—that’s basically two items.You really are in control of what you do and how you do it. Honestly, like everything in life, the more you put in to it the more you will get out of it. I really believe the skies the limit with Lilla Rose if you have the time and energy to invest.
Pam: Do I have keep a stock? Are there monthly minimums?
Sarah: No. Pre-purchasing product at wholesale allows you to sell “live” at Events and Shows, and more easily conduct Parties. However, pre-purchasing product is not a requirement to sell as a Lilla Rose Consultant. With the Party Pack Enrollment Kit for $49.95 you can immediately begin marketing Lilla Rose product line using included samples, marketing materials, and training manuals. There are a few ways to sell without purchasing inventory such as showing and selling from the Lilla Rose printed product catalog, or your free Lilla Rose Replicated Website with built in shopping cart. If your customers order from your Personal Lilla Rose Replicated Website, or if you submit your customers catalog orders in your Consultant Back Office, no inventory is needed, and Lilla Rose does the shipping! There are NO monthly minimums. You don’t have to sell a thing if you don’t want to. You do need to sell $200 per month to receive bonuses, but you’ll always receive commissions earned on what you sell.
