Escucha Means Listen is a delightfully fun picture book that helps kids be aware of their surroundings while they learn new Spanish phrases.  There are so many sounds that you hear. Have you ever really thought about what they mean?  The author, Talia, creates a fun way for kids to learn just by listening.  So many things that we take for granted we tend to overlook and ignore them.  Take time to be quiet and listen to your world around you!

Little ones absorb new things like a sponge.  Escucha Means Listen is a perfect book for your child to learn Spanish in a fun, new way.  I know my son’s school offers Spanish once a week.  This book is a perfect companion to his class.

I love the colorful and fun illustrations by Dina.  Every page gives us clues as to what we are listening too.  This book would be perfect for children ages 3 to 8.  The pictures alone will help children associate Spanish words with the sounds.  If anyone could make a book make noise, Talia and Dina did just that!

I highly recommend this book to parents who want their children to be aware of the world around them, have fun and learn some Spanish, all at the same time.
