I decided to let my daughter select the dress she wanted us to review from Nancy August as I’ve learned that her tastes have changed. No longer does she always want the princess like dress, now she tends to go for a little more sophisticated styles. My little girl is growing up whether I like to admit it or not 🙂 Fortunately the Nancy August website has such a wonderful selection of dresses and styles that not only did Sian find something she liked she found several! We narrowed it down to the Darling Diva Black Flower Girl Dress and they had her size. Even though they call it a flower girl dress it obviously can be worn for almost any special occasion. My daughter has now worn it twice for two different Christmas parties, one was at her friend’s house and she told me all the other girls kept asking her where she got her dress. The other party she was with us as it was a business Christmas party and the same thing I had several moms ask me where I got my daughter’s beautiful dress.

The quality of the dress is superb from the taffeta material to the detail on the rose bouquet with chain. Sian is not wearing it in the picture but it also comes with a matching shawl. I’ve seen dresses like this one and many more that sell for $150 or more but not at Nancy August you get quality for the best price! I’ve seen dresses on their site for under $20 now anyone who has ever shopped for girls dresses especially the more formal ones know that they are usually very expensive and you definitely don’t get them for $20-$60 like you can at Nancy August!
Sian loves her dress, she feels a little more grown up but oh so girly like and she loves showing off this dress. She told me that one of the things she likes best about it besides how pretty it looks is that it’s not itchy or stiff like some girls’ dresses can be. She absolutely loves her dress that ties in the back so it adjusts to her tiny waist, it’s not always easy to find a nice dress for a petite 11 year old girl who doesn’t want something that looks like it’s for younger girls. Nancy August has it all in our opinion and I can tell you when she does want a new dress I will be looking at this site first before any other ones.
Overall for quality, selection, great prices and so much more Nancy August formal dresses get a 5 out of 5 stars from Powered by Mom & daughter!
