Enchanted Review and $25 GC giveaway to Mommy Bear Media- ends 12/3 at 1159p

December 1, 2012 by Pam Maynard

About the movie:

A classic Disney fairy tale collides with modern-day New York City in a story about a fairy tale princess who is sent to our world by an evil queen. Soon after her arrival, Princess Giselle begins to change her views on life and love after meeting a handsome lawyer. Can a storybook view of romance survive in the real world?

Enchanted, starring Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Timothy Spall, is the perfect Saturday afternoon movie for the whole family! Grab a bucket of popcorn, put up your feet and get ready for a funny and heart warming movie.  This fairy tale takes place partly in a cartoon and mostly in Times Square NYC.  Giselle is supposed to marry Prince Edward, but his evil stepmother won’t let that happen.  She pushed Giselle into NYC to get rid of her.  Giselle ends up hopelessly lost and wet in a harsh reality she has never been in.  She is found by Robert and his cute daughter and they give her a warm, safe place to stay.  However, Robert’s fiance is not too happy to find a woman in his apartment wearing just a towel.  The love triangle gets more complicated when Edward arrives and searches NYC for his princess.

This movie has a little Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Snow White.  It kept me laughing as Giselle figured out about love in reality.  Robert’s daughter, Morgan, was my favorite character.  She really kept everyone in balance and in touch with a little bit of fairy tales and little bit of the logical world.  Love is more than just a getting married.  Love is more like a magic spell that enchants everyone!

I highly recommend Enchanted for the whole family.  My son loved it even though it was a love story and didn’t have any blood and gore.
