My Review:
This is a must-see movie, not just for Christmas, but for every day of the year. The movie is about families helping families! A young couple with a son thought their life was perfect until their world fell apart when Dax was diagnosed with a rare type of Leukemia. The family stayed at St Jude and discovered that hope, friendship and prayer could get them through this rough time. Julie, Dax’s mom, discovers that the moms with children in her same position were her lifeline and support. They shared stories, trials, triumphs and tragedy. They had hope!
I enjoyed feeling the hope and friendship that developed between strangers that cared! Even the family’s neighborhood gave Dax a Christmas in October to show their love and support. If everyone loved their neighbors like that, the world would be a much happier place.
I also loved the emotions that made me laugh and yes, cry too. It was sad but it was also a movie about hope and family!
This movie really gets you thinking about what is most important in life. CHERISH EVERY MOMENT because you never know when it might be too late.
I highly recommend this family movie to your whole family. Be prepared to answer questions about death and cancer. Even my 9 year old liked the movie and had many questions about cancer and why kids die so young. This movie will be an awakening for many families. Don’t let your busy life stop you from enjoying and loving your family!
