Recently I had the wonderful opportunity to review a PlasmaCar. What is a PlasmaCar you might ask? Well PlasmaCar is this fun high quality plastic car that you take the steering wheel and move it side to side to propel yourself. It’s a kid friendly toy that even adults can enjoy. Because this toy requires the use of your body to move there is no use for batteries or waiting for something to charge. Fun with this toy goes as far as your arms will take you.
One thing that I really like about the PlasmaCar is that I can personally ride it. It will hold up to 220 lbs making this a great toy for both children and adults. When my box arrived I noticed on the side it said what tools I would need. Since my husband was at work and me being my impatient self I knew that I couldn’t wait until the next day to put this thing together to have fun. So I went searching through his tool box and found the tools I needed. I unpacked the box, got everything out and started to put it together. I got the back wheels on without a problems. I did have a problem getting the front wheels lined up perfectly with the steering wheel and tightened at first. I didn’t want to tighten the steering wheel down too much because I was afraid I was going to break it. Well I found out that in order to use the PlasmaCar correctly you really have to tighten it down as much as you can. I found the easiest way for me to tighten and make sure it remained straight was putting the front wheels in between my feet while trying to tighten it as much as I could. I am a perfectionist when it comes to putting things together making my assemble time a little longer.
Now came the fun part, the time to try it out. We tried it out in the house first and found out that it was not going to go anywhere on the carpet. Yes, I know that it says a smooth surface but I was thinking it might go slow on the carpet since it’s really short old carpet but no luck. Next we tried it in the kitchen which worked out perfectly. I wanted them to try it inside before we moved outside. Next we decided to try it outside after my daughter got the hang of how to move the car. My son at the time was too busy playing his video game to actually try this out. She has now claimed this as hers no matter how much we tell her that it is for everyone in family.
This is a great toy that the whole family can have fun on. I would highly recommend this toy to anyone that has children or is a big child at heart. The only thing I don’t like about this is being an adult I would like to see it go a little faster when I am on it. The downfall to that is that it wouldn’t be as safe for children so I am okay with it being slow for me and knowing that it’s safe for my children. I have no worries about them being on it.
Here is a little video of my daughter riding the PlasmaCar we received. Thank you for reading my review.
