My Review By Emptynester Reviews
All opinions in the review are completely my own and based on my experience with this product. I am not paid to leave a false or misleading review, I only post what I know my Fans will benefit from.
The Xtrema Ceramcor 10″ Skillet is the the most versatile Skillet I have yet to use! you can use it on a gas or electric coil stove as well as a glass top stove. The Pan itself heats up quickly and stays hot longer, saving you on gas/electcity bill.s You can cook on a lower temperature after your initial warming time too!
When I first received my Ceramcor skillet I was mesmerized at the concept of cooking in a piece of ceramic cookware, on my cook stove, rather then just in a crock pot. I absolutely love the design of this Skillet as it is a deep 2′ skillet with a long handle on one side with a removable silicon cover that stays cool to the touch, not like the old way of having to worry about a bulky pot holder dipping into your food. The other side has a wide handle much like the type you find on a soup pan, however it is thicker and wider then the regular type and you can grip it very well. Which for me, is awesome as with my carpal Tunnel I have to have something like this, to get a good hold onto not a thin piece of metal.
The Xtrema Ceramcor 10′ skillet is great for all the one pan meals, I like to make, and also, many of the 2-3 pot meals. Allowing me to not have to worry about dirtying all the extra pans! You can use this skillet to start your meal whether you are sauteing or browning at the beginning of your meal, and add your ingredients building your casserole or favorite baked dish, and take off the silicon handle and slip it right into the oven to finish your meal! Then with both handles on the pan it is a breeze to remove from oven with 2 hands and place on your trivet, or pot holders. There are Ceramic rings built into the bottom of the pan, that do stay hot so always make sure to place something between your pan and your counter.
The clean up is an easy feat with the Xtrema Ceramcor! You can use anything you would normally use on a metal pan to clean their products, whether it be soft scrub or SOS pads, you can’t scratch these pans!
The Health benefits of using Xtrema Ceramcor Cookware, are numerous and well documented on their site. I knew of some of the health risks with cooking with the teflon type cookware, once it is scratched you can get all kinds of nasty chemicals into your body, hence why I don’t use them at all. Xtrema cookware is made from all natural minerals, that makes me feel so good about cooking for my family without risking any kind of chemicals getting into the food I am feeding them. Xtrema is 100% Organic!
I made made a Shepherds Pie from start to finish all in the Xtrema skillet! I have included the basic recipe and pictures of my actual dinner making with the Skillet.

Easy Shepherd’s Pie Recipe
- Prep time: 10 minutes
- Cook time: 50 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs ground round beef
- 1 onion chopped
- 1-2 cups vegetables – chopped carrots, corn, peas
- 1 1/2 – 2 lbs potatoes (3 big ones)
- 8 tablespoons butter (1 stick)
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- Salt, pepper, other seasonings of choice
Method
1 Peel and quarter potatoes, boil in salted water until tender (about 20 minutes).
2 While the potatoes are cooking, melt 4 Tablespoons butter (1/2 a stick) in large frying pan.
3 Sauté onions in butter until tender over medium heat (10 mins). If you are adding vegetables, add them according to cooking time. Put any carrots in with the onions. Add corn or peas either at the end of the cooking of the onions, or after the meat has initially cooked.
4 Add ground beef and sauté until no longer pink. Add salt and pepper. Add worcesterchire sauce. Add half a cup of beef broth and cook, uncovered, over low heat for 10 minutes, adding more beef broth as necessary to keep moist.
5 Mash potatoes in bowl with remainder of butter, season to taste.
6 Place beef and onions in baking dish. Distribute mashed potatoes on top. Rough up with a fork so that there are peaks that will brown nicely. You can use the fork to make some designs in the potatoes as well.
7 Cook in 400 degree oven until bubbling and brown (about 30 minutes). Broil for last few minutes if necessary to brown.
Yield: Serves four.
