Will Your Kid Love This Birthday Gift?
To design and make a gift personally tends to draw the attention from more and more people. Some parents are interested in asking their kids to make some DIY items together. To be honest, this is a great way to improve children¡¯s operation ability. Nowadays, we throw away many things every day. But do you know most of those wasted things can be great materials for a DIY gift? Below, you will see a tutorial shared by a cosplay shop writer, which guides you to make a pair of snow boots step by step. If you are definitely looking for a birthday gift idea for your kid, you may be inspired here.
Step 1: first of all, let¡¯s take a look at the finished look. (I made two pairs in a larger size. Based on these steps, you can make a pair for your child easily.)
Step 2: sponge, cotton and glue are needed at the beginning. You can write down the style and size on a piece of paper and then cut off the drawn pattern from the cloth. Daub some glue on the sponge and then glue it with the cotton. After the glue dries, cut off redundant cloth.
Cut off the boot shaft, ankle and sole and glue all of them in the same way.
Step 3: even though we have already glued the sponge with the cotton, we still need to sew them.
Step 4: after being sewn, they look like this.
Step 5: this place needs to be sewn too.
Step 6: after being sewn, turn it off. Then, it will look like this.
Step 7: let¡¯s make the inner side now. The lining should be a little longer than the surface. In this case, when it¡¯s turned out, there will be a flash edge. Likewise, draw down the pattern on the paper and then cut it off.
Step 8: also, to sew them together is required.
Step 9: cover it onto the surface.
Step 10: as the picture implies, sew it up at my finger¡¯s place.
Step 11: if your lining is also much longer, fold it inwards like me please. So, it will look like this.
Step 12: pull out the lining and insert it into the boots.
Step 13: so, a rough look of the boots can be seen here.
Step 14: the sole is made in the same way. Now, we need to sew the sole together with the boot shaft.
Step 15: it¡¯s time to make the bordure now. A piece of cloth with the same color with the boots is used here. If you don¡¯t have skilled handwork, make it by a sewing machine please. Otherwise, the edge won¡¯t look smooth.
Step 16: now, sew the sole. Since it cannot been seen, I spend less time here :D.
Step 17: so, the boots have already been finished. I made two pairs here.
