What is a Wall Bumpi? Invented by a mom for her own kids, Wall Bumpi™ is designed to provide a safer, cozier sleeping environment that is practical, functional & stylish! The Wall Bumpi, a product of Two Hippos, is actually a flame retardant foam wedge that sits on top of the mattress. But it’s not just a safer alternative to the standard bed rail, it also looks great on the bed, matching almost any bedding and it’s easy to make the bed in the morning (something I definitely appreciate)! It is also the first product of it’s kind that works toward the end of the bed as a rail also! It works as a side rail, end of the bed rail, against walls, as a headboard cushion, to get rid of gaps, and even as a barrier when co-sleeping with your toddler! How to use: Place the Wall Bumpi™ on top of the fitted sheet. As a side rail or end of the bed rail wrap safety belt underneath the mattress and secure using safety buckle. Then simply pull on the belt to secure Bumpi. As a head board or against a wall you do not need to use the belt, the wedge shaped Bumpi will not move. Wall Bumpi™ is designed for the child to be able to crawl over it in the morning so child doesn’t have to jump out. It is high enough to keep most children from rolling out or scooting off the bed.
How I use Wall Bumpi:
My son has bunk beds and never uses the top bunk. One reason is that it’s full of stuffed animals, another reason is that he is afraid he is going to fall off. The rail that is on there doesn’t run the length of the bed. So, we decided to try the Wall Bumpi and see how it feels. He actually tried it on his bottom bunk first (mainly so he wouldn’t have to move all his stuffed animals.) He loved having the Bumpi there because of the great pocket in the side. He can keep his small stuffed animals there along with his glasses case. I like it because his sheets don’t end up on the floor by morning. He tried it on the top bunk, but it’s too noisy up there, he tells me. It does kind of squeak when you move around. And, there isn’t a TV up there and he can’t see his alarm clock. So, back to the bottom bunk he went.
It is lightweight and portable so you can take it with you when you visit Grandma’s house. It also comes with a Big Kid Certificate for those transitioning from a crib to big kid bed. I know my son would have loved that!
I also tried it in my bed, not because I fall out of bed. I used it for a wedge behind my back. It kind of made me feel like I was all tucked in and snuggly. It is soft but supportive. It makes my back feel supported so I could relax and fall asleep faster. Try it, you will love it! I highly recommend the Wall Bumpi for any parents looking for a great alternative to a bed side rail. It comes in a variety of colors and sizes to match your decor.
