POWERED BY MOM’S REVIEW
I received some pretty cool products from Uncommon Goods to review. I’m going to start with my favorite one the champagne candles. These are such a wonderful idea! You can recycle those wine bottles and make them into a decoration!
We had a group of friends over recently for my birthday so I seized this opportunity to try out these candles and they were a hit. It was a nice sunny evening so we went to our backyard after dinner where I placed about 4 previously used wine bottles on the 2 tables we have on our deck. They were the first thing our guests noticed or I should say that the female guests noticed. They thought it was such a neat idea and I had to agree. You can re-use any bottle you want as they will fit on top of most but wine bottles are perfect. Now some people may want to take the labels off the old bottles but I like leaving them on for a few reasons, less work, provides more color and now I won’t have to remember which “new” wines I liked as I’ll just keep the bottle and use it with these candles! One suggestion I would make to Uncommon Goods is that it would be wonderful if these candles were also scented! I love scented candles.
Another unique and cute product which could be used for couples newlyweds I think but as I went through it I thought to myself I could use this and fill out for my daughter when she gets older. For example one of the pages says My favorite way to spend the day with you is….I could totally apply this to my daughter 🙂 Not that my hubby doesn’t deserve a love journal but I just thought it was a cool idea to do for my daughter as well. Another great gift idea.
Last but not least Love Tokens
My first thought was really love tokens okay hmmm…but when you read up on them at the Uncommon Goods site it does inspire you to be a bit more romantic. As they put it on their site “Here’s a little something for that someone who has everything: tokens of your affection. Surprise your new sweetie or rekindle a romance with these pewter vouchers: “good for one hug,” “good for one kiss,” etc..
I do remember a time when I used to give my hubby on his birthday or Valentine’s Day a little note on a card or something say IOU a romantic dinner etc.. Maybe it’s time to bring back those notes again in the form of these cute love tokens. My daughter took a shine to them but as you can see not all of the tokens are appropriate for a child to get their hands on so I gave her a “hug” and “kiss” tokens to her for which she was tickled pink.
