My Review:
Secret Agent 23 Skidoo’s new CD Make Believers is new fun mix of kiddie Hip Hop, something I have yet to experience. My son is 9 and isn’t into the rap/hip hop that teenagers listen to. You know, the music that makes their pants fall down so their boxers are showing? But Make Believers is not your older brother’s hip hip, it’s for kids!
Secret Agent 23 Skidoo promotes reading and literacy with their lyrics. They never talk down to kids. They show kids as being fun, smart and empowered to do whatever they set their mind to. Make Believers is funky and fresh and fun! I must admit, my son like the CD much more than I did. He liked Gotta Be You. It tells us you need a best friend, but your first best friend should be you. And to be a good friend, just be yourself. True friends can accept your flaws! Love the lyrics! I liked the last track the best, Back Home. When I get Back Home, I’ll have a story to tell!
Make Believers portrays life lessons with each track that apply to all ages. You’re never too old to be reminded about being a good friend. The music is fun for kids of all ages, especially elementary school kids that love to sing and dance!
