Delicious Dinner Recipes

April 13, 2012 by Pam Maynard

Looking to host a dinner party and are you in search of some easy dinner party recipes? Just read this article and you will get some helpful ideas what to make for dinner party.

A dinner party is a party in which you meet your relatives as well as friends. The most important aspect of every dinner party is the recipe. The food and drinks should match with the theme and style of the party. It would be easy for you to choose the recipe menu if you are aware of your guest’s taste buds.

Below you will find few recipes which can become part of your dinner menu.

Chicken with Asparagus:

The recipe given below is an authentic European style and thus can be prepared very soon.

For making this recipe, you will need the following things:

1/2 cup chicken broth, 1 pound boned and skinned chicken breast halves, 1/2 pound fresh asparagus, 1 jar roasted red peppers, 1 clove garlic, 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes, 1 tsp balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper to taste.

How to prepare:

You can begin with heating the broth in a large skillet on medium heat. Season the chicken with salt plus pepper and place it on the skillet. Cook for around 15 minutes till the chicken is cooked well. Add red peppers, asparagus and garlic to the skillet. Cook for 10 minutes till the chicken juices run clear and asparagus becomes tender. Put the tomatoes in skillet during last 2 minutes of cook time. Sprinkle vinegar and you can top with mozzarella cheese before serving.

Baked Potato:

For making the baked potato, you will require:

1 medium sized potato, 1 tsp olive oil, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tsp butter, 1 pinch ground black pepper plus 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:

Clean the potato and pierce the skin with either a fork or knife. Meanwhile preheat your oven to 300 degreesF. Apply olive oil and salt over the skin of the potato. Put the potato in the oven and bake for 90 minutes until the potato is golden brown and soft. Slice the potato down the center and serve with butter and black pepper. Thus, your tasty baked potato is ready to eat. Sprinkle little shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the potato for more enhanced taste.

Thus, you can try the above given two recipes by making some alternate options or modifications in the ingredients if desired. I hope this write up will help you in making some scrumptious dishes without much effort.
