Dog Anxiety
Guest post written by Rolf Tate
When I was looking for a www.tvbydirect.com, I was mostly interested in finding some shows on Animal Planet about how to curb dog anxiety. Our lab is nearly twelve years old, and since we first adopted him as a newborn pup, he has been plagued with anxiety issues. He has destroyed furniture, torn carpet, and eaten our kids’ toys. Most of this happens we when are away, and after all of these years, I can only blame his issues on separation anxiety. We were out of town this weekend, and as we were wandering through some shops on Saturday, we happened to find a local animal supply boutique. One of the objects that caught my attention was the “Thunder Vest.” This vest was created and developed by the same woman who realized that compression vests worked well to calm and focus kids with attention deficit and autism-related anxiety. The premise of this vest is that through constant pressure and compression on the body, anxiety is reduced. When I saw this product, I didn’t even bother to look at the price tag. In my mind, whatever the cost may be, it surely is cheaper than the thousands of dollars in product that our dog has destroyed.
