When I was asked to do a review and giveaway for Eraselets I was thrilled as I thought this could be the perfect product for my 10 year old daughter, Sian. She has a reputation both at home and at school for constantly losing her erasers. It’s become a bit of a joke and in fact , for her birthday, one of her friends gave her a jumbo eraser that was about ½ foot long! Yes, she has lost that eraser too, apparently it’s “school somewhere”. So I thought that the Eraselets would be perfect for her as she loves her accessories and an eraser that she can wear as a bracelet might just be perfect for her.
The Review by Powered by Mom Blog
When the Eraselets® arrived and I opened the package to see which of their five designs that they sent us to review. I admit I was a bit worried at first that Sian would not like these ones because they sent us the Sport Pack. All the packs are cute. but Sian is not big on sports and I thought she might not like the designs. Well was I ever wrong on that thought! Sian loved them, she thought they were so cute! Her favorite ones were the purple, black and white colored bands. Each one had a different sport symbol on them like basketballs, soccer balls etc.. Sian put 2 of them on one wrist and one on the other wrist –instant fashion accessories.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind when using them which we missed when we were having fun and testing
them out. We didn’t run into any problems, but I thought it best to let you know what the creators of
Eraselet® recommends.
- The Eraselet® was designed for porous paper such as notebook paper, elementary lined paper, construction paper, low-end copy paper, newspaper;paper that kids use every day in schools across America!
- The Eraselet® is not recommended for laser copy paper, glossy paper orpaper that has a film on it.
It’s very easy to use the Eraselet® where you instinctively figure out the best way to use it. I admit we were bad and didn’t read the instructions first. Sian put it on her wrist, and with her thumb stretched out the Eraselet® to erase writing on a piece of paper. That’s exactly what you’re supposed to do but one tip to remember is to use the inside of the Eraselet® rather than the outside of it so that you keep the outside with the design on it clean.

The Eraselet® gets a two thumbs up from both Sian and I. As a parent I like them even more because they produce very little dusting and are more durable that way and they are cheap! For a package of 6 they only cost $4.95 and that includes the shipping. Sold!
Last but not least some exciting news that I just received from the creators of the Eraselet®: Great American Opportunities, the nations largest school fundraising company, selected Eraselet for their national prize chart! This means that 2.4M kids in the US & Canada will be introduced and provided an Eraselet during the 2012-2013 school year!
