After you make a sign in, Sir Wendall Wattington, Tophatter mascot, walks your through a short tutorial, just so you get a full understanding of how the whole process works. It’s like ebay, but different. Tophatter is an online live auction created just for moms. Each item is unique, sometimes handmade, and all products are mom-friendly. There is even a place where you can meet up with mom buyers who are interested in similar items. You can hang out and chat while waiting for auctions.
Each weekday at 9am PST, a new set of Tophatter live auctions start. You need to RSVP to save yourself a spot in the auction. Space is limited. Each “lot” has details, including shipping costs so you can shop ahead of time. During the auction, you bid against other live users. Don’t bid if you aren’t prepared to pay, it is a real auction.
If your bid wins, you will be sent an invoice so you can pay the seller via paypal.
The best part of the whole Tophatter experience is the unique items up for bid. The auction for Tuesday has Very Hungry Caterpillar pillows, Homemade Baby Owl Earflap hat or even 3 Magic Wands. Such fun! I can’t wait for Tuesday to meet up with moms, bid on cute items and of course win some too!
