What am I thankful for?
Seems like such a simple question, yet every year when I think about it, I always come up with the same answers. Granted, they may be great answers, but they are the same every year:
- My family
- My friends
- My faith
- My health
- My job
This year, in addition to the above, I am thankful for all the little things in life that we take for granted:
The internet: without it, I’d be friendless, tweetless, unconnected and have no blogging buddies. After all, without the internet, I would never have met all of you through Mom Blog Society! And worst of all, I would never have met LaDonna, the mastermind of Mom Blog Society and the kindest and smartest blogger I know.
The smell of coffee in the morning: if I couldn’t smell it, I may not be alive. If I couldn’t smell it, it might mean I won’t be drinking any of the sweet caffeinated goodness to wake me up before the day begins.
Hugs from my son: in a few more years, he won’t want to have anything to do with mommy. Granted, sometimes he squeezes me too hard and in the wrong places, but love is love!
Chocolate: life would be so dull without sweet, yummy, delicious chocolate. I love chocolate!
Laughter: laughter is good for the soul, the heart, your life!
Time alone: after working all week, dealing with some cranky patients, listening to Justin’s TV or Kids Bop music, I need some quiet time. Usually, I only have the 30 minutes in the morning and my drive to work alone. Tonight, I have an unprecedented 5 hours alone. Of course, it was so quiet in here, I had to turn on the TV:)
What are you thankful for?
