When I saw Zubits magnetic shoe closures for the first time I really liked the concept. My children don’t like tying their shoes. I have one child who usually crams her foot into an already tied shoe while slowly breaking down the inner back heel of the shoe. Then, another child who walks around with his shoes untied most of the time!
What I didn’t realize was how popular Zubits would be in my house. My husband was actually the first to try them! He put a pair of Zubits on his running shoes. They worked like a charm! Zubits are great for kids 4+ to adults and even seniors. There are three sizes.
- Size 1 is for kids 4 -8 years old, senior adults, or for specials needs individuals.
- Size 2 is for youth ages 9 – adult. This is the best size for most adults including men who run. Great for gym.
- Size 3 is for larger adults and is also recommended for recreational sports, shoes with stiffer soles, and high athletic use.

I bet you’re wondering how do you get your foot in and out without squeezing the heal of your shoe. My kids taught me how! 🙂 If you turn the magnets they will twist apart allowing you to take your shoes off or put them on with ease. Once they are on, simply put the magnets side by side and they will connect.
What do I do with my extra shoe laces?
Each pair of Zubits comes with Lace Anchors that will secure your laces so you can tuck them into your shoes. I have one child who used the lace anchors and one who tied the laces in a knot and cut the excess lace off. I would recommend using the lace anchors!
