About SOL
SOL which stands for Sustained Organic Living was founded by Sachin and Vishal, two friends with a deep respect for the planet and the environment. The SOL company has been in the health and wellness market for over 20 years, starting out as a manufacturer of beeswax candles.
Today, the company manufactures luxurious organic cotton bedding that is GOTS & Fair Trade certified. The cotton is sourced from fair trade farms in Central India where no forced or child labor is used. Their super soft sheets come from fine long staple organic non-GMO cotton. The rain-fed crops only use natural fertilizers and pesticides.
SOL sheet sets come packaged in a reusable handbag made from the bedding fabric with natural coconut buttons. The mission at SOL is to provide organic and luxury products at an affordable price.
I selected the SOL 300 thread count white Hemmed sheet set. You can choose from white, cream, or blue. When I first opened the box, I was impressed by the reusable handbag they arrived in. That proved to me that this brand goes the extra mile.
The sheets are 100% organic cotton. Care is simple. You may machine wash in cold water, tumble dry on low, iron, or dry clean them if you wish. After washing them and drying they were a little wrinkled. I would recommend going over them with an iron if you are looking for more of a pristine appearance.
To be honest, the natural look of the cotton doesn’t bother me. If I were having house guests, I may give them a quick iron just to pamper them a bit. However, what is important to me, is the fit and the feel. I ordered the queen set for my very thickly padded mattress. To my surprise the fitted sheet fit like a glove! Normally fitted sheets for deep mattresses are too large and have to be continually tucked in. The hemmed style looks amazing and reminds me of sheets used in luxurious hotels.
My youngest daughter noticed right away that there was something different about my bed. She said, “Mommy, did you get a new bed or a new mattress? Can I sleep with you tonight?” I smiled and said “Yes, of course! Daddy is at work so why not?”
Then, the teen test. My oldest teenage daughter comes running in and dives right in the center of my bed. She said, “Mom, these sheets are so soft! I’m not getting up!” “Another satisfied customer,” I thought.
