Making crafts with the kids during Halloween is one of my family’s favorite activities. I think we like it so much because everyone gets involved — my husband, the teens, the little ones — we are all engaged in the same activity together.
I enjoy making our own Halloween decorations because everyone remembers the activity more than they do putting up store-bought decorations. One of our favorite projects was six years ago. That year we made 40+ spiders & ghosts that were safe to use outside in any weather. My husband and the kids made them from garbage bags and even made one that was almost as big as our dining room table to sit on top of our bushes. The kids still talk about how amazing the front of the house looked that year.
This year we are looking forward to making a Halloween Tic Tac Toe game that we can play with the kids anywhere. The great thing about this craft is that we already have the paint and rocks! Take a look below, isn’t it adorable? Miranda at The Bright Side of Reality did a wonderful job.

The only thing I may do differently with the Tic Tac Toe game (above) is to make a pull string carry tote that will also serve as a fabric game board when fully extended/laid flat. The wooden game board is too bulky and not storage friendly.
