I was given TINKERTOYS, free of charge, from K’NEX for review purposes only.
Who doesn’t love TINKERTOYS?? I grew up playing with TINKERTOYS and Lincoln Logs. I never owned a single Barbie. It was all about creating things for me. Guess what, I loved making that cute doggie in the picture up there. It brought back fond childhood memories. The only thing missing is my brothers stealing my pieces, pulling me hair or calling me names. And the smell! I loved the wood smell from the original TINKERTOYS.
These new, improved, colorful and even bendy TINKERTOYS are awesome. My 10 year-old thought he was too old to use them. Not me. I put the doggie together all by myself. These classic toys are great for hours of imaginative creativity. I remember making round barrel-type houses and ferris wheels with my TINKERTOYS. Now, due to the added shapes and flexible pieces, you can make just about anything you set your mind to.
Why would your child love TINKERTOYS?
1. They are easy to use- great for little hands. The pieces are chunky but light and teaches dexterity and hand-to-eye coordination.
2. The TINKERTOY pieces snap together and stay together until you pull them apart. Nothing worse than building toys that fall apart. That just discourages children from trying again.
3. They are colorful, educational and fun! You can teach colors, numbers and shapes with these awesome toys!
I highly recommend TINKERTOYS for children 3 and up. 2 HUGE thumbs up from me!!
