Easy Homemade Flatbread Chicken Salad Tostadas featuring Gourmia Electric Flatbread, Pita and Tortilla Maker
Flatbread Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon yeast (instant or dry active)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup warm water
2 teaspoons olive oil or canola oil
Topping ingredients:
1-2 Chicken tenders or (4-5 frozen chicken nuggets or 1-2 strips)
Lettuce
Grape tomatoes
Shredded cheese
Ranch or other dressing
Instructions:
Add flour, yeast, and salt into a mixing bowl.
Then, add the water and oil. Beat for 1 minute or can be done by hand. Do not overmix.
Remove dough from mixing bowl and place dough on a floured surface. The dough will be a bit sticky. Cover with a towel and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Preheat Gourmia Electric Flatbread, Pita and Tortilla Maker to 425 degrees or cast iron skillet to med-high.
Cut dough into fourths and shape each piece into a ball.
Using a rolling pin, roll each ball into a 6-inch circle.
Cook on ungreased hot Gourmia Electric Flatbread maker or skillet about 1-2 minutes per side. The dough will begin to bubble up on the uncooked side. Once you flip the flatbread, you can press flat if it tries to rise in the pan.
Continue cooking each flatbread and set aside.
Bread and fry chicken tenders or breast. You can also use frozen chicken nuggets or strips to make it quicker. Chop lettuce into small bites and slice grape tomatoes length-wise.
Top with a sprinkle of shredded cheese and drizzle with Ranch or your favorite dressing.
