Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
Recipe type: Dessert
Prep time:
Total time:
Serves: 20

Ingredients
  • 20 Strawberries
  • 4 bars Almond Bark Regular Chocolate, or your favorite melting chocolate
  • 4 bars Almond Bark White Chocolate, or your favorite melting chocolate
Instructions
  1. Wash and chill strawberries in fridge.
  2. Prepare a cookie sheet with wax paper to place the finished strawberries on.
  3. Melt chocolate in a double boiler on low-heat setting, or microwave. I prefer the double boiler, as the chocolate stays at the right consistency.
  4. Holding strawberry by the green top, dip strawberry. Allow excess chocolate to drip off. While still holding wet strawberry, turn upside down for a minute to allow the excess to run back on the strawberry.
  5. Gently place the strawberry on the prepared cookie sheet with wax paper. Allow chocolate to dry.
  6. To make stripes and swirls, place a small amount of chocolate (in opposite color) in a baggie. You can use the same dipping chocolate (see notes) or place a few discs of melting chocolate in baggie and melt in microwave. Prick the corner of the baggie with a toothpick, making a very small hole.
  7. Using firm consistent strokes and pressure on the bag, make stripes, swirls, etc. across the strawberries.
  8. Place cookie sheet of strawberries back in the fridge to chill and set.
  9. Store in refrigerator.
  10. Enjoy!
Notes
If using a double boiler to melt chocolate, keep on low heat setting. Do not allow water to boil!

If using the chocolate from the double boiler, allow to cool enough it will not melt baggie. Place baggie in a small glass or cup and turn down bag over the outside. This will make it easier to spoon the chocolate in. Push to one corner before using.
