Mom Does Reviews’ Crock Pot Lasagna
Crock Pot + Comfort Food = Perfection!
I’m almost to giddy to type the following words… Falls coming y’all!!! Eeek! I am beyond ready for the crisp air and long nights that fall ushers in. The crunch of the leaves beneath my boots is music to my ears! I don’t know about y’all but there are some foods that just taste better when the weather is cooler. This Crock Pot Lasagna is one of them. Add on the fact that it’s super easy and doesn’t break the bank and I. Am. Sold. I can make this lasagna for between $10-$15 dollars, depending on local sales (cheaper when I have venison in the freezer!). Without further ado, here’s the breakdown on how you can have this yummy dish!
The printable version of this recipe is at the bottom – so keep on scrolling!
Ingredients:
1 lb. of Meat (you can use hamburger, turkey, or venison – whatever trips your fancy)
2 cans of pasta sauce of choice
Barilla NO BOIL noodles (best invention EVER!)
8 Cups of Shredded Cheese
Instructions:
Brown your meat. I like to buy the large packs of meat and brown it all up at once. Then I bag it into smaller portions and freeze it for quick meals. If I’ve got a couple of “meat” meals in a week I may forgo the freezing if I’m using it in a couple of days. Super Time Saver!
Then it’s simply a layering game. ALWAYS start with sauce on the bottom. Not that I speak from experience, ahem, but if you start with noodles or cheese – you may or may not have a BIG disgusting mess to scrape off the bottom of the crock pot. So… start with sauce, then noodles, sauce (cover the noodles completely with sauce), meat cheese, and repeat until you’re at the top of the crock.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-6 hours.
Voila – You’ve got lasagna that’s easy on the wallet.
Easy peasy, huh?!? It really is that simple. If you have the meat already browned, you can have a scrumptious lasagna prepared in 12 minutes flat. Then let the crock-pot work it’s magic.
