Back to school is a fun time for buying new clothes, back packs and school supplies. BIC brand stationary supplies have been around forever, but they have new styles of pens, markers, and pencils, just in time for packing bags for this school year.
I love stationary. Anytime I’m shopping in department stores, I make sure to go down the marker, pencil and pen isle. I’m not really sure why I am drawn to this isle, however, the possibilities of things to be created are endless. BIC is absolutely my favorite brand of blue ink pen and more recently, markers. They have also developed a new line of gel ink pens and very cool mechanical pencils.
First off, I have to share with you guys my most favorite markers. I discovered them about a year ago and always look for new colors and styles whenever I’m in a department or craft store. BIC Marking Permanent Markers come in fine point and ultra fine tips. I personally like the ultra tip pens because I can color in small lines and get a better result. I do like the fine tips because I can cover more area with one stroke. These pens are pretty great. They are acid free, low odor, with bright vivid colors. They also are permanent markers that write on just about any material from glass to damp surfaces.
Gel-Ocity Quick Dry Gel Pens are a new pen for me. I traditionally don’t care for gel pens because they smear. But these do not. They dry super fast, comes in a variety of colors, have a great grip-able barrel (feels nice in your hand) and they have a medium point ink pen. Each pen is a retractable pen that doesn’t need a cap. These pens write so smooth that I don’t know how I will go back to using any other ink pen.
When I was in school, the cool thing to have was the four color ink pen. You could choose what color you wanted to write with. Well, BIC has modernized this pen. It is now available with three different inks and a pencil. This is the 3+1 Ball Pen and Pencil. I love this pen. It has black, blue and red ink along with a .7mm pencil. It comes with replacement lead and erasers. What a great way to have all the writing utensils in one convenient place.
My daughter has converted to using mechanical pencils as of last school year. She likes that she doesn’t have to sharpen a pencil or worry about the mess from traditional pencils. BIC Velocity Max Mechanical Pencils with .7 mm lead put all other pencils to shame. They have a larger erasers clean lead better, they come in a two pack, has the smoothest, darkest writing and has a better grip than other pencils. I really like the design, the colors and the way they write. I can keep one in my pocket knowing that I don’t have to run down a sharpener, I have extra lead and erasers and because it is a BIC, the quality is the best.
The final product I want to show off is the BIC Intensity Fineliner Marker Pen. These pens have an ultra fine .4mm point, won’t bleed through paper, is a water-based ink and comes in a 6 pack. The Intensity is perfect for writing, doodling, and coloring. They are thin pens that has a crisp, bold ink colors.
