This summer is all about bringing the family together and implementing an educational based summer of fun. The days leading into summer, I started preparing my kids for a summer of fun and games. Truth be told they weren’t to keen on the idea of keeping their brains on. Each day we weave in family time while adding STEM focused activities. Winning Moves games have helped me keep learning fun and bring the family together.
Winning Moves USA

Family Together With Winning Moves Games
GAME OF THE STATES
The old classic Game of the States is back. I played this as a kid when I was in second grade. It was how I became so good at learning all 50 states and their capitals. When my boys pulled it out for family game night, they weren’t to sure they would be interested in geography lessons. After all they were the ones warning me that they needed to give their brains a break this summer. To our delight we spent the entire evening learning about the United States and I woke up to them quietly playing it together the next morning. Travel through the country buying, selling and learning facts about all fifty states. A great Winning Moves game that helps you learn about locations and capitals in a fun way.
SUNK!
Sunk! is my personal favorite of the Winning Moves games. The object of the game is to complete the task on the card, filling the cup with drops of water, without it sinking. We love that the game can be modified to play as you wish and perfect for practically all ages. It’s perfect for developing skills, interaction and it will definitely keep your group entertained for hours.
RUBIK’S® BUILD IT SOLVE IT
I had to let my kids in on a little secret when I saw the Rubik’s build it, solve it kit. When I was a teenager I tried to take apart my Rubik’s cube. I had gotten frustrated that I couldn’t figure it out and unsuccessfully cheated my way through it. After not being able to take the pieces apart I pulled a few stickers off and was totally busted by my brother. When I saw the build it, solve it Rubik’s I was super excited to see how the Rubik’s works from the inside out. Surprisingly my boys share my love for putting things together. They love following the directions and problem solving how to build it. With my help my eight and six year old where able to spend an hour putting this together.
RUBIK’S TRIAMID
The triangular Rubiks cube is a fun spin on the classic puzzle. Take the 10 pieces completely apart and solve the Triamid. After really putting their brains to work, my boys discovered there were easy tricks to putting the Triamid together in record time. They enjoy taking it fully apart and timing themselves to see who can figure it out quicker. Probably my boys favorite puzzle, and we’ve owned quite a few 3d type.
