We ladies get so accustomed to our husband’s planning the events on Valentine’s Day that I think we forget that we should be thinking of them too. I am the first one to admit that I have become lazy when it comes to going out of my way in making my husband feel special. After seventeen years of marriage, seven kids, and a budget that is so tight I can’t possibly squeeze in anything else — it just happened. It wasn’t planned and it certainly isn’t intentional. I forgot how important it is to surprise your husband with letters, cards, and thoughtful gestures.
If you have forgotten to make your husband feel special lately,
don’t lose hope! It only takes a few minutes but the effort is worth it!
Ten Ways to Surprise Your Husband on Valentine’s Day
- Leave Valentine’s Day cards in (or on) his vehicle.
- Rent a sports car he has always wanted and go on a date.
- Have a mobile auto detailer clean his car while he is at work.
- Take interest in his hobby.
- Make his favorite meal and dessert and eat dinner after the kids are in bed.
- Decorate his vehicle for Valentine’s Day.
- Make him breakfast in bed.
- Play a game/scavenger hunt.
- Buy him tickets to a nearby sporting event.
- Surprise him with a new {hat, shirt, undergarments, shoes, etc.}
What Does Your Husband Like?
Surprise your husband this Valentine’s Day by doing something just for him. My husband loves cars/vehicles, so I always lean toward anything car related. If your guy doesn’t like cars, or doesn’t have one, you can modify these suggestions to suit your husband. For example, you could decorate his office instead of his car, or leave cards around the house. The important thing is that you took the time to plan something and didn’t sit back and make him do it all.
