I’ve been looking for the perfect new toy for my oldest boy and I found it with the Y Flyer. He’s been begging for a new scooter or bike, so when I was given the chance to review the Y Flyer, I jumped at it. It was definitely a good decision, because as soon as we opened the box, my son’s eyes lit up!
Easy to Ride
I wasn’t sure how quickly Ben would pick up on how to ride this scooter; however, as it turned out, my worries were unfounded. Within a few minutes, he was flying up and down the sidewalk and around in the driveway. I think the fact that he’s been riding a bike for a while helped him master this scooter. The stepping motion of the scooter is similar to that of a bike, so all he had to do was to continue pedaling and stay balanced and he was good to go.
Need for Speed
Let me just say that I was very impressed with how fast Ben could go on this scooter. With a few steps on the pedals, he’s going as fast as he does on his bike, if not faster. I definitely wouldn’t be able to keep up with him on a walk. If he keeps up this level of speed, I’ll need to invest in some roller blades for myself! That would be a sight as I push Hannah’s stroller while skating along.
Special Just for Ben
As one of four children, Ben doesn’t get much for just himself. We’re a family that shares, which is a great way for us to bond, but I think it’s nice for Ben to get something to himself every once in a while. This scooter is that special thing for him and he’s super excited about it! He even gave his brand new Y Flyer two thumbs up!
About Yvolution
At Yvolution, we were kids once, too. We remember it as a golden time of good, healthy, outdoor fun. Without a handset in sight. So, with our love of toys like go-karts that put smiles on kiddies’ faces and wind in their hair, we all ended up in the outdoor toys industry.
