This is Chicok from Wodibow. It is a wooden puzzle made up of nine 100% beechwood pieces treated with beeswax and olive oil. The cockscomb is red to finish the chicken’s look. This natural wood puzzle, made in Spain, is a transformer. It can be the rooster or the hen depending on how it is assembled. The wooden gears inside enable it to move gently, and the strong embedded magnets keep Chicok together. Most noteworthy is that there is no plastic in this durable puzzle.
I adore chickens and I have a coop full of Silkie chickens outside to prove it. Therefore to me Chicok was adorable from the start, and on top of that it transforms. I enjoyed putting it together and my kids enjoy changing it back to a hen from its rooster form every chance they get. I prefer the rooster and he is sitting on a cabinet in my dining room. Since I like the rooster they like to see if I notice when there is a hen there instead. It has become a fun game for us all. The wood is finished to a soft, glossy end. The rooster or hen stands proudly wherever you decide to put it.
My friend’s 2 year old came over and I put my Chicok down for her to play with. The magnets held it together as she drove it around the kitchen making “gobble gobble” noises. At least she was in the right family of animals. I was comfortable with her playing with it because it is durable, safe, and has no small pieces. Then I showed my friend the inner workings and she had fun with Chicok too.
This is a Wodibow Nanodont. It is thought that Mastodonts became extinct thousands of years ago, but Wodibow knows differently. Not only are there still Mastodonts, but here we see its younger sibling the Nanodont. Nanodonts are ingenious wooden animal puzzles from Spain. They are 100% natural beechwood, that are treated with olive oil and beeswax. This hipu has 5 pieces that make it up. Two halves of the body, the head, and ears which all hold together with the embedded magnets. There are four different Mastodonts and Nanodonts to choose from: an elephant, hippo, bear, and a rhino.
