A little over a year ago, I had my fourth child. Before her, I wasn’t a huge wearer of children. I used strollers wherever I went. Soon enough I realized that if I was going to get anything done with my kids, I needed to be able to wear my infant. Kelty helped make motherhood super doable!
About Kelty

My Thoughts on Kelty
The way I’m shaped, I couldn’t wear a front carrier. One of my friends offered me a Kelty Backpack. This thing was amazing and it really shaped the kind of mother I was able to be. I didn’t have to worry about a fussy baby as I did everything the day required of me. Fast forward about a year and I left my backpack behind my van and ran it over. I actually cried at the loss of that backpack carrier. I had been through so much with it. Kindly enough, Kelty sent me a new backpack carrier and I even got a small upgrade. I love so much about the Kelty brand that I’m really trying to hold back my excitement here.
Quality
There is nothing comparable on the market as far as quality goes. I’ve used the Kelty Mijo and the Kelty Tour and both were equally amazing. The Kelty Tour is a bit of an upgrade in the aspect that it has the backpack. I also really like the curved waistbelt, it makes carrying my daughter super easy.
Lightweight
It takes some talent to master putting a child on your back. It’s taken me a while, but I’m pretty good at it now. It helps that the Kelty Tour has a lightweight frame to make lifting her a lot easier. Plus, I feel super secure whenever I put her down because the Kelty Tour has the awesome kickstand.
Security
I have never once put my child in this backpack carrier and not felt secure. There’s a five-point harness to help keep her safe. Plus, the harness is adjustable, so as she grows, I can adjust it. She has chubby little legs, so I love the straps that adjust around her legs.
Plenty of Storage in the Kelty Tour
I particularly love the Tour because there is so much storage. We take a lot of walks and it’s nice not having to carry an extra bag. One reason I loved going from the Mijo to the Tour is that there was so much room. Having four kids, you really never know what you need to bring with you.
All of these features on the Kelty Tour are nice. But I really have just fallen in love with the product and the brand. They made something that has made motherhood easier for me. Sure, I’m not hiking miles each day. But I wear my backpack carrier to the grocery store, on walks, to the park, at the mall. It’s become a part of who I am as a mother. My daughter is also attached to her carrier and she has always loved it.
Thanks Kelty. I feel like I’m writing a love letter for the one product that has truly changed motherhood for me. Thank you! I’m not sure I’m conveying how awesome Kelty is and the Kelty Kids line is, but I will definitely be a customer for many years to come. Thank you!
This week our home flooded from a historic rain. I was able to strap Hannah on my back and get lots of work done. She actually fell asleep in the process. So precious!
