Something about the summer heat makes going outside for a fun afternoon with family/friends even more exciting. I love to watch parents and children playing outdoor games; chasing each other across the backyard. Combine this with the smell of dinner cooking in an outdoor kitchen and it is bliss. Well, almost. There’s one more thing that makes my summer afternoon complete — sweet Lipton Iced Tea. The feel of the glass, coolness of the ice, and taste of the tea is so familiar, summer gatherings wouldn’t be complete without it.
Do you add Lipton Iced Tea to your summer menu?
Hosting a backyard gathering in the summer can be quite an undertaking. Between the games, water sports, dinner menu, and desserts, is one more thing that you have to think about — the drinks! Instead of racking your brain on one more piece to the menu puzzle, know that Lipton Iced Tea complements all sorts of meals wonderfully, especially in the summer months. And it is so versatile that you can really do a lot with it to make it more memorable.

Peach Lipton Ice Tea Recipe
There are dozens of ways you can make your Lipton Iced Tea your own for your party. The simplest way is to freeze your favorite fruits and berries and allow your guests to drop in the light flavor they want. Because I like to take my tea a step further, I take a few of those frozen fruits and puree them with a simple syrup for a fun boost.
Ingredients:
- 5 peaches
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 Lipton Iced Tea bags
- 4 cups water
- Other: Paper Towels
Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, whisk sugar and 1 cup water until combined. Bring to a boil whisking frequently. Remove from heat, set aside and allow to cool at room temperature.
Lipton Iced Tea: Brew two tea bags with 4 cups boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Set aside and allow to cool at room temperature before transferring to refrigerator.
Wash 3 peaches and leave skin intact. Cut peaches in half, twist halves in opposite directions, and remove the pit. Slice peaches into thick wedges (about 3/4 to 1 inch thick). Dry peach slices on double layer of paper towels before transferring peaches to a freezer safe tray. Freeze peaches for 1-2 hours. (Discard paper towels and peach pits.)
Wash remaining 2 peaches and remove skin. Cut peaches in half, twist halves in opposite directions, and remove the pit. Place peaches in a blender or food processor; process until smooth. Press peach puree through a sieve into a bowl (discard solids). Combine peach puree with 1 cup prepared simple syrup.
Add peach syrup to prepared Lipton Iced Tea. Mix well. Return to refrigerator until ready to serve.
Prepare tall glasses with 3-4 frozen peach slices. Pour cold peach tea over peaches. Serve.
