Each year I make something different for the kids for Valentine’s Day. My kids LOVE cookie dough and a few of the older ones prefer dough over the actual cookies. Taking this into consideration, I prepared a dessert Sushi that everyone loves. This dessert has a brownie heart center enclosed in edible cookie dough, and rolled in red velvet cake crumbs. After freezing for an hour, they were sliced and enjoyed with chopsticks. The kids LOVED them, just as I had hoped.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: THIS IS EASY!!!
If you can bake your own cookies, you can do this!

Dessert Sushi Recipe & Instructions
Ingredients:
- Brownies (prepared, cooled)
- Red Velvet Cake (prepared, not frosted)
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 2 cup all purpose flour (additional 1/4 cup all purpose flour, if needed)
Bake your favorite red velvet cake and fudgy brownies. Allow both to cool.
How to Make the Heart:
Remove the edges of your brownies and discard. Crumble the center of your brownies until they begin to feel dough-like. Form a ball and knead until smooth.
Divide dough into four smaller balls.
Gently roll each dough ball into a log until it is 1 inch in diameter.
Using dough thickness rails, make the log into a triangular cylinder shape. Your log should have 3 flat sides. Another way you can accomplish the triangle shape is by flattening the bottom and pinching the top of the log into a point.
Once you have formed a long triangle cylinder with your brownie dough, us pastry/pizza cutter to make a slit into the middle on one side of your cylinder. This will be the top of your heart.
Gently move triangle cylinder/log to baking sheet, freeze for 20 minutes.
While the brownie dough is freezing. Prepare edible cookie dough.
Edible Cookie Dough:
Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in your mixer. Add vanilla and continue to cream mixture. Slowly incorporate flour and beat for two minutes. Add the additional 1/4 cup flour if your dough is too moist.
Chill dough until ready to use.
Crumble red velvet cake. Set aside.
Remove brownie from freezer and surround with edible cookie dough forming a circular log.
Cover log with red velvet cake crumbles.
Return dessert sushi to freezer for one hour.
Slice with thin knife and serve.
