Disclaimer: In June, 2015, I was provided with travel and accommodations from Disney to visit the set of Bunk’d and meet the cast. All opinions stated herein are my own unless otherwise noted.
It’s almost time to leave for camp Kikiwaka! You will leave on Friday at 10 p.m. When you arrive, you will find Emma, Ravi, and Zuri Ross who have left their New York penthouse for this amazing summer camp opportunity in Maine. Emma and Ravi are joining you as counselor’s in training, or CITs as they are often called — don’t worry, I’m sure they will become resourceful and responsible camp counselors at some point before the summer is over. Just be thankful that the head counselor Lou is there to help. She is cheerful and full of wilderness knowledge. I think you will find Xander helpful too.
Can you do me a favor when you get there? Please say hello to our new friends, and fellow campers, Tiffany and Jorge! …
Have fun at camp! ~ Victoria
Disney Channel’s new live action comedy series “BUNK‘D,”
a spin-off of the hit comedy series “Jessie.”
Visit the Set of Bunk’d!
It was an amazing experience to walk around on the set of some of my daughter’s favorite shows last month. When I got home she asked me about everything I saw like she was interviewing me. We spent an entire evening talking about everything so I could make her feel like she was there too.
My favorite thing to tell her about was the great lawn (I believe this is what they called it) on the Bunk’d set. The grassy lawn has everything you need at camp: trees, camp cabins, and a beautiful view of the lake. It was so bright I truly felt like I was outside at a camp in Maine instead of inside a studio in California!
Meet the Cast of Bunk’d!
Reprising their starring roles from “Jessie” are Peyton List as Emma, Karan Brar as Ravi and Skai Jackson as Zuri. Joining the cast are Miranda May as Lou, Kevin Quinn as Xander and newcomers Nina Lu as Tiffany and Nathan Arenas as Jorge.
All of the kids were very sweet to meet. They are a smart and talented group who seem to work very well together. Peyton List and Miranda May sat with us for several minutes during our visit and told us how amazing it has been to get to know each other. They said they are spending as much time together as possible, even off the set, because they get along so well. The girls told us about sleepovers and their candy stash – shhhh, don’t tell anyone!
Watch Bunk’d on Disney Channel this Friday!
Bunk’d premiers on Disney Channel, July 31st, at 10 p.m
I know my daughter will love this show because she loves all things Disney Channel. Tell your kids to look out for the newcomers in the group – Nina Lu and Nathan Arenas – these two are super sweet and I think you will be seeing a lot more from them in the future.
The live-action comedy series was created by Pamela Eells O’Connell who serves as executive producer. O’Connell has worked on family favorite series “Jessie,” “Family Matters,” “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” and “The Suite Life on Deck.”
