Mom Does Reviews has an EXCITING announcement to make! I am going to LA to see #AntMan!!! Okay, so, it is more than just a movie screening. This is THE event that you want us to cover for you and your kids, I promise.
Event button (above) created by The Rock Father
“This trip will include the film release of Marvel’s ANT-MAN as well as the Disney Channel Original Movie DESCENDANTS, the hit Disney Channel show LIV AND MADDIE, the brand new Disney XD show GAMER’S GUIDE TO PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING and the new Disney Channel show BUNK’D!”
U.S. Release date: July 17, 2015
Mom Does Reviews will be attending a press junket at the end of the month where I will have the opportunity to interview actors/actresses from the movie Ant-Man! (I don’t know who yet. I WILL update you as soon as we are given the specifics.) The cast of Ant-Man includes: Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Wood Harris, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian and Michael Douglas.
I will also be previewing the movie in advance of the release so I can provide you with as much real insider information as possible.
If you haven’t already, check out the trailer for Ant-Man – my favorite part is the scene where a Thomas The Train set makes a special appearance, super funny, yet completely intense at the same time (smile).
Exciting Right?
There’s more! This is the part my tween daughter is the most excited about. You see, she is a HUGE Disney Channel and Disney XD fan. She is also a talker and one of the things she is passionate about is Disney! That means I already know much more than the average parent about the following…
Premiering July 31st on Disney Channel
While I’m in Los Angeles, I will also join Disney Channel for a special screening of the highly-anticipated DESCENDANTS followed by a Q&A with Director Kenny Ortega (“High School Musical” & “High School Musical 2”)! AND
I will be going to Hollywood Center Studios to visit with two of the DESCENDANTS villain kids Dove Cameron and Cameron Boyce on the sets of their TV series, Disney Channel’s “Liv and Maddie” and Disney XD’s “Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything.”
Premiering on Disney XD this Summer!
AND I will also be taken to the set of the new Disney Channel series “BUNK’D.”
BUNK’D Synopsis (Disney Channel):
Emma, Ravi, and Zuri Ross have left their New York penthouse for summer camp at Maine’s rustic Camp Kikiwaka, in Disney Channel’s new live action comedy series “BUNK’D,” a spin-off of the hit comedy series “Jessie.”
“BUNK’D” follows siblings Emma, Ravi and Zuri Ross as they embark on their summer at Camp Kikiwaka, a rustic summer camp in Maine where their parents met as teenagers. Emma and Ravi step into new roles as CITs (Counselor In Training), learning how to be resourceful, responsible role models to their campers. Lou, the cheerful head counselor, and Xander, the camp heartthrob, befriend the Ross kids, who are complete fish out of water in the great outdoors, and step in to show them the ropes. Zuri makes new friends with her fellow campers, the anxious and overly-studious Tiffany and compulsive fibber Jorge. Along with their new friends, Emma, Ravi and Zuri adapt to their new “home away from home” and settle into their exciting new lives at Camp Kikiwaka.
Reprising their starring roles from “Jessie” are Peyton List (“The Outskirts,” “27 Dresses,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days”) as Emma, Karan Brar (“Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days”) as Ravi and Skai Jackson (“The Watsons Go to Washington”) as Zuri. Joining the cast are Miranda May (“The Heartbreak Kid,” “Samantha Who?”) as Lou, Kevin Quinn (“Shameless,” “Chicago P.D.”) as Xander and newcomers Nina Lu as Tiffany and Nathan Arenas as Jorge.
The live-action comedy series was created by Pamela Eells O’Connell (“Jessie,” “Family Matters,” “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” “The Suite Life on Deck”), who serves as executive producer.
Upon reading all of this amazing information, my tween daughter screamed. “OH my gosh! Dove Cameron!!! She’s my favorite! I love her!”
And my ‘too cool’ teen daughter says “Cameron Boyce! You get to meet Cameron Boyce? (Blush) How unfair is that? …. GAAHHHosh!”
If you have a tween or teen who are fans of Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, or “Liv and Maddie” you will want to keep up with this part of my trip to LA. (More information coming soon.)
